Frequently Asked Questions
How do I set up my long-term vision?
When you first open Addy, you'll be guided through setting your long-term vision. You can update this anytime by going to Settings → Goals. We recommend reviewing and updating your vision weekly to stay aligned with what matters most.
How does the accountability partner feature work?
Your accountability partner receives regular email updates about your progress, including your streak status and completed tasks. They don't need to download the app - they'll just receive updates based on the frequency you choose (Daily, 3x/week, or Weekly). You can add or change your accountability partner anytime in Settings → Accountability.
What happens if I miss a day?
If you miss your daily planning session or don't complete any tasks, your streak will reset to zero. Don't worry - this is part of the process! The key is to get back on track the next day. Your accountability partner will be notified if you've enabled that feature.
Can I use Addy without an accountability partner?
Absolutely! The accountability partner is an optional feature. You can use all of Addy's core features (daily planning, task management, streaks, and progress tracking) without adding a partner. However, we've found that having someone to answer to significantly increases follow-through rates.
Is my data private and secure?
Yes. We take your privacy seriously. Your personal data, tasks, and goals are encrypted and stored securely. We only share information with your accountability partner if you explicitly enable that feature. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription anytime through your device's subscription settings:
iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Addy → Cancel Subscription
You'll continue to have access to premium features until the end of your billing period.
Can I export my data?
Yes! Contact us at ameer@engineeredfocus.com and we'll send you a complete export of your data within 7 business days.
What platforms does Addy support?
Addy is currently available on iOS (iPhone and iPad). We're working on additional platforms - stay tuned!
Troubleshooting
The app won't load or keeps crashing
Try these steps:
- Force quit the app and reopen it
- Restart your device
- Check for app updates in the App Store
- If the issue persists, contact us with your device model and iOS version
My accountability partner isn't receiving emails
Check the following:
- Verify their email address is correct in Settings → Accountability
- Ask them to check their spam/junk folder
- Make sure you've completed at least one task (first email sends after activity)
- If still not working, contact us at ameer@engineeredfocus.com
I can't sign in to my account
Try resetting your password using the "Forgot Password" link on the login screen. If you're still having trouble, email us at ameer@engineeredfocus.com with the email address associated with your account.
